on November 17, 2011 in Posts Comments Off

South East Asia has seen a phenomenal growth over the last decades. The area has been witness to one of the largest economic booms in the world, which was based on the development of local industries and foreign investments. Due to the cheap labor work, South East Asia quickly became the heaven for multinational companies which started producing their merchandise here and then ship it over the world. This is how this area of the World became the leader in manufacturing, packaging, plastics industry and assembling. However there are also little know industries which South East Asia is a leader of such as the discus fish aquaculture industry which has a net worth of hundreds of millions of dollar per year because of the high demand for this type of fish. Future trends put South East Asia still in the lead because they are maintaining their low prices for labor and other resources which multinationals need such as the cost of fuel, land and legal taxes, which are very low. It’s very likely that this part of the world will become the economic engine which will drive the economic growth of even developed countries such as the United States of America.
